Sustainable energy systems (formerly Energy Systems II)

Contents

Sustainable Energy Systems focuses on renewable energy systems. Different technologies and concepts are discussed with regards to technical and economical feasibility. Also topics like environmental footprint, availability and energy storage are covered. Promotion of renewable energy technologies in different countries and regions is discussed as well.

Educational goals

Having participated in this course the students have gained a deep understanding of renewable energy systems. Moreover, the students have gotten an overview of necessary economical, environmental considerations as well as grid control and current potential and issues with energy storage.

Note

Should Sustainable Energy Systems count as a "Vertiefungsfach", participation in the seminar is mandatory.
