Process technology and ecology in modern power plants

In addition to the main components of power plants, such as combustion systems and steam generators, this course also handles aspects such as gas fume purification, mode of operation and general systems.

  • Main components of thermal power plants, therefore of systems with the intermediate step of heat in the energy conversion process
  • Steam generators: concepts and optimization (natural circulation, forced circulation, forced bursting)
  • Types of Combustion: fluidized-bed, dust and rust combustion
  • Evaporation process (flow patterns, heat transfer)
  • Thermal design and efficiency
  • Operation and control (fixed pressure and sliding pressure)
  • Gasification technologies
  • Flue gas purification and CO2-free power plant concepts
