Thermodynamics in Energy Conversion

This course deals with the thermodynamic principals behind the energy conversion process. Students will be taught which thermodynamic behaviors of various conversion processes and technologies they will be required to understand and evaluate.

  • Gas turbines and combined cycles
  • Fuel cells
  • Thermodynamic aspects of renewable energy and CCS-Technologies
  • Cold cycles

Further Information

For students of the masters program POWER ENGINEERING, this course is mandatory. Students from the bachelors or masters program Mechanical Engineering, regardless of their area of study, may take these two modules as supplementary subjects (registration for the courses on TUMonline).
